    1. I just finished Out of My Mind. I really enjoyed it. It was interesting to hear from Melody's perspective; the disabled usually don't have a voice. It also accurately portrayed the meanness that surrounds disabilities...because of misunderstanding capabilities, because they might look or act different, or because we feel uncomfortable. I would highly recommend it!

I am reading that book as well! I am not very far in it, but I really love the author's voice. I can feel her indignation at everyone that assumes she is a "retard" just because she has cerebral palsy.

  3. I just finished the first book of dork diaries, I really liked it. It is about a girl who just moved to a new school, she is 14. She thinks she will never find any friends besides the two friends who she already has (and they all consider them selves the biggest dorks in the school)

  6. TR - that sounds like a good book. Why do you think the PE coach made them do crazy things? And who went to the hospital and why?
